We are looking at renewable energy in class, so I made a homemade solar oven and we made some s'mores with it!
We were exploring substances and mixtures near halloween, so we decided to make slime to scare the kids at our haunted house! It was so much fun but messy at the same time.
In math class we were exploring structures so we made our own geodesic dome out of newspaper! It was fun but complicated and hard at the same time.
Here we made crystals out of epsom salts. It was very interesting and fun to see how just water and a mineral make crystals.
In history class we reviewed information to find out who had the advantage in the war of 1812.I feel that at the beginning of the War of 1812 the British would have the advantage.
My first reason is that the Natives teamed with the British. The Natives did surprise attacks, which the Americans weren't used to. The Natives also helped the British survive in the wild, whereas the American soldiers had almost no survival skills. Also, the Americans weren't exactly friends with the Natives. The second reason is that the British army was larger and had more experience. Most of the British army had at least some war experience, when he Generals in the American army had only fought once thirty years ago. Also, the British had 7,500 soldiers, whereas the Americans had 7,000. My final reason is that the Americans had had a civil war at the same time. Some of the Americans hated the idea of war, and opposed the army. This gave the British an advantage because the Americans had to deal with the protesters, while fighting the British at the same time. After review some additional information, I still believe that the British had the advantage. |
